Comments: After a squirrel made its way into the chimney and died in there, we decided we needed to have the chimney cleaned out and inspected. We shopped around for different companies based on reviews and decided to hire Pro tech. The next day two guys came to our home, inspected everything and informed us of the recommended steps we should take to fix our fireplace and make it safe to use. We decided to to hire them to do the work. We had a new damper and chimney cap installed, the crown was repaired, the stone was water sealed and silicone applied along the base of the chimney where it was cracked. They cleaned out the chimney and did all the repairs in about an hour. They explained everything to us and cleaned up after themselves. I was a little skeptical about the quality of the work being they were young and did it all so quickly so I actually called Joe to speak with him. We talked for about 30 minutes and put my worries at ease. He answered the millions of questions I threw at him courteously and professionally. I am grateful for the lifetime warranty they offer on all the metal and the 10 year on the work they performed. While it would have been cheaper to do the work ourselves, we are glad we have peace of mind should God forbid anything happen. The new damper will definitely help keep our home more energy efficient. The old damper allowed a draft to enter but this one with the chimney cap combination is an airtight seal. Joe was fabulous in speaking with me and you can tell he is very passionate about his business and keeping his customers happy. I think it's wonderful they offer free inspections to their customers also. Overall I am happy with the work and would recommend this company.

I had received conflicting estimates for work from three other companies (including an expensive creosote cleaning) and Pro-Tech explained why I only needed waterproofing and seal coating on one of our chimneys and didn't need the creosote cleaning. They gave me recommendations for future maintenance but assured me that nothing was urgent as I was previously told. I was very happy with the service I received and would recommend them to friends.
